Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

(1) How will all of the camera equipment be handled at my wedding, i.e.
lights, cables, tripods, etc.?

Answer - We make every effort to be as unobtrusive as possible, During
the actual ceremony our cameras are in fixed positions and
mounted on tripods to eliminate distracting motion. As we
use only the newest digital camcorders there is no camera
noise to compete with the wedding dialogue, and we carry ample
battery reserves so that cables are never an issue. During the
reception activities we rarely use artificial lighting as our cameras
are capable of operating in very low light conditions.

(2) What is the benefit of having two video camcorders?

Answer - We’ve found using two cameras is much more conducive to
telling the wedding story, as one camera can be focused on
capturing the wedding “events” while the other is freed
to shoot the many nuances of the background activity.
The trade off is of course that more cameras means more
camera operators, so the expense is greater, and often the
editing time will be longer as there is more footage to edit.
It’s our recommendation you opt for at least two cameras
during the ceremony and reception. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime
event that can’t be recreated.

(3) How long are the finished videos, and what happens to the footage not
used in the final product?

Answer - Generally speaking our finished videos are approximately
60 to 90 minutes in length, not inclusive of the “Love Story”
and/or “Honeymoon” segments contracted for separately.
We will generally keep a digital master of all the wedding
footage for up to 6 months after the ceremony before
recycling the DV tapes.

(4) How long will it take to receive the finished video?

Answer - There are many variables that will effect this, but generally we will
have the finished video to you within 16 - 18 weeks. The Bride & Groom
can help expedite this process by ensuring music, photographs and/or
family footage is delivered to the editing process in a timely manner.
